4 Business Babe Tips

Sep 11, 2023

We all know owning a business is fun and it’s every girl's dream to be their own boss right? While that is all true, it also isn’t always sunshine and rainbows. Owning your own business is hard work and takes a lot of self-determination. Here are 4 tips to help you be the best business owner you can be!

1. Manage your time.

This is so easy to say but hard to have the self-discipline to make happen day in and day out. Do you have a schedule or set days that you work on certain tasks? We have seen that your productivity can increase by improving your time management skills! We love time blocking here at Digital Boutique Co. Try time blocking your tasks this week and see if you get more done having a certain period where you work on certain tasks. One day can be social media focused, then your website/restocks, photo content, and inventory, and then you can have a day where you get fashion inspiration/buy when needed and a day where you clean your warehouse/brick-and-mortar store.

2. Focus only on your goals.

Staying in one lane is so hard to do but it is worth it in the long run. As tempting as it is to look at the boutique which has millions of followers and seems to wonder what you are doing wrong since you aren’t in their spot, it will leave you feeling empty and comparing yourself to the other boutiques that have no business being compared to you. You have a passion and vision for your boutique like no one else. Focusing on your goals will help keep you motivated, encouraged, and empowered.

3. Find your confidence as a CEO.

This is so important for the health and success of your business. If you aren’t healthy, then your team will not be healthy. If you have confidence in yourself, your team, and your company, that is going to be the heartbeat of your business and your employees. Make sure you are loving who you are.  If you aren’t? Then do what you need to do to love yourself and the person you are becoming. Get counseling, accountability, or both.

4. Persevere.

Running a business is NOT easy. But nothing that’s easy is worth it right? You can do this and you have to keep pushing and fighting. It will be easy and fun some days, then others you won’t know you are going to keep going. You have to have grit to keep your business going but you can because you were meant for this. Have people in your corner that can help you push through hard times when you seem to be mentally and physically exhausted. it takes a village to get through tough seasons!
